Resource Center

The GardenWorks Project Suburban Agriculture Resource Center
Supporting your efforts to grow food for yourself and your neighbors in need

For years we had envisioned a place to serve as the hub of our organization - where we could offer resources to gardeners, regardless of income level. That dream was realized in January, 2017 when we opened The GardenWorks Project Suburban Agriculture Resource Center at 103 W. Washington St., West Chicago, IL. Our office and Resource Center are located in the back of the building, which also houses Gallery 200, an arts and cultural center.

At the Resource Center, visitors may attend educational classes on various organic gardening topics, borrow gardening tools, obtain seeds, seedlings and other supplies depending on availability, and meet with GardenWorks staff and volunteers on select days of the month.

The Resource Center will only be open for special events through fall and winter. We will have regular open hours starting in February, 2018.

Become a member of our 2018 Food Growers Network and get free seeds, big discounts on seedlings & raised beds, and access to our tool lending library. No one will be denied membership due to inability to pay.

Stop by our Resource Center during open hours to access all that we have to offer.
