Hey, look up! Did you notice our new logo? It was designed by my friend Katie. She's a friend of a friend who has done some design work for me in the past, and I am always impressed by her work and how she can take what I'm thinking and create an image that gets the message across.
The inspiration for the logo came from my daughter, who, when she was about 2 or 3, was a big fan of Disney's Little Einsteins show. I never had a problem with her watching as many of those as she wanted, because she (we) learned lots about classical music, and it was enjoyable for me to watch too. Don't even get me started on Caillou. Anyway, in one episode, the kids were growing a garden, and emphasized that the four things that were needed were soil, sunlight, water, and love. My little one has since grown out of this show, and prefers Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and My Little Pony (which have no educational value whatsoever, but I digress) but she has never forgotten the four things a plant needs to survive. So when it came time to develop a logo for the GardenWorks project, this was the first thing that came to mind.
