Wheaton, IL (June 18, 2015) -- The GardenWorks Project, an area 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce hunger in DuPage County by providing families in need the resources to grow food at home, recently appointed a new member to serve on their governing board of directors.
At their last meeting, Board President Paula Fraser welcomed the newest director, Joe Grussenmeyer of Wheaton to the board. Grussenmeyer has volunteered with The GardenWorks Project since 2014 as a garden builder and coach, and now takes on a new role as Director of Growth Strategy. Grussenmeyer is the owner of B2B Web Solutions Corporation, and is passionate about organic gardening and teaching others about the benefits of healthy organic living.
Now comprised of 5 members, The GardenWorks Project board of directors is currently seeking volunteers to fill roles that focus on volunteer management, communications, and grant writing. For more information, please visit www.gardenworksproject.org.
