Dear friends and supporters,
"Bless you for this program, it has been a heart desire [to garden] for years but could not afford it. I grew a wonderful garden and I got my neighbors to garden as well." - 2017 client
We at The GardenWorks Project want to thank our supporters for being a part of our mission. Your commitment to our organization is what drives us forward. We could not do it without you. We started in 5 gardens in 2012. We completed 87 home gardens this year. We have much to be proud of.
The fight against food insecurity does not stop here. We have much to do, and your tax-deductible gift will support our 2018 programs. Please give generously, and if you cannot give monetarily, please visit our website and consider giving your time in 2018 with our many volunteer opportunities.
May your tables be full and surrounded with joy and laughter this holiday season!
With much gratitude,
Our Founder and Board Member shared a powerful memory on the blog this month.
“She said the garden is like a bright light and adds a nice memory to this difficult day,” Julie’s brother said. The kids pointed out to their grandmother what each seedling was and she nodded and smiled. Read the full post here.
Want to do more with us next year?
Even though it’s below freezing now, there are still many ways to help The GardenWorks Project succeed and grow. We are looking to add Directors to our Board, as well as a Treasurer. Our Board is very active and engaged in many ways - making connections in the community, fundraising, social media, representing the board at many of our events, and helping to set strategy for the organization.
Our Food Growers Network Membership for 2018 is now open!
This membership-based network aims to build community within the food-growing community, offer learning opportunities to improve your annual harvest, and provide insight and expertise from partners and master gardeners. For $20 a year, your contribution will provide you with many benefits, but will also help support GardenWorks programs that support healthy eating, and improve food security for our neighbors in need.

Seed Sorting Event
We received a large amount of seed donations over the winter that we need to get sorted in preparation of our season and we need volunteers to help us sort. We will be sorting on January 17th if you want to stop by and learn more about what we have planned for 2018. RSVP here.
On behalf of The GardenWorks Project, thank you for helping us fight hunger from the ground up.
